How Magpie Works

Magpie is an AI that learns who you are through conversation, then finds the person who fits. No swiping. No photos. Just understanding.

1. You talk to Magpie

Magpie asks questions. Not quiz questions. Real ones. About how you love, what makes you pull away, what a good day actually looks like, and what you need from someone but have never said out loud.

There's no time limit. No questionnaire. Just conversation that gets deeper the more you come back.

2. Magpie builds your portrait

As you talk, Magpie listens for patterns. Not just what you say, but how you say it. What you avoid. What lights you up. What contradicts what you said last time.

It builds a living portrait that covers:

  • Attachment style — how you bond, what makes you feel secure
  • Love language — how you give and receive love
  • Conflict and repair — how you handle disagreements
  • Values and worldview — what you believe in

Privacy by default

Your portrait is never shared with other users. Matches see only your display name and a compatibility story. Your full portrait, conversation history, and analysis remain completely private.
