No. Magpie is not a therapist and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is a reflective tool — a mirror, not a prescription.
Your conversations are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate responses and build your portrait. Your data stays private to you. No advertising use or sale of your data.
As you talk, Magpie listens for patterns — your words, your metaphors, your contradictions, and what you avoid. It builds a living portrait that covers your attachment style, love language, conflict patterns, values, and partnership vision. The portrait gets richer with every conversation.
Magpie uses Claude, made by Anthropic.

Once your portrait reaches sufficient depth, Magpie evaluates compatibility with other users across romance dimensions: attachment fit, conflict compatibility, love language resonance, values alignment, and partnership vision. Each match comes with a personalized compatibility story explaining why you connect.
Matches only see your display name and a compatibility story. Your full portrait, conversation history, and psychological analysis are never shared with other users.
Open the Connect tab, find your match, and tap the chat icon to start a conversation. Messages are direct between you and your match.
Your display name is the only thing other users see about you. You set it when you create your soulmate profile in the Connect tab. It can be your first name, a nickname, or anything you're comfortable with.
